To tackle the difficult problem, she has been exploring two-dimensional planes and three-dimensional situations, appre- hending the significance of both in visual arts.<br \/>\nAs a result we perceive objects that unfold a highly sensual quality, brought about by the use of diverse materials and a clear stylistic vocabulary. The images emerge from a plane surface, acquire space and eventually grow to three-dimensional bodies, as it is quite clearly illustrated by the \u201cColored Loaves\u201d as the artist has named her latest creations.<br \/>\nThese works overstep the boundary lines between flat surfaces and bodily shapes. Yet the nature of the objects can only be defined in relation to the limiting elements of the spatial framework in which they are placed. Only when interrelated to architectural settings, such as walls or floors, the imagery turns into three- dimensional shapes \u2013 into \u201cColored Loaves\u201d.<br \/>\nAt an earlier stage Ute Wennrich's studies and works were dedicated to the figure, in the widest sense of the subject matter.<br \/>\nThis former project had already led her to investigate the visual field of space and the components of spatial structures, which have become the underlying concept for her pieces of art.<br \/>\n<i>U.
