About Protozoa and other strange Creatures

In the exhibition “About protozoa and other strange creatures” Ute Wennrich presents objects and drawings from her new group of artworks at the gallery KunstRaumKo, Berlin.
The display shows objects that float in space, crawl on the ground or sway in the current, peculiar creatures beaming in translucent colours in the light and enchanting the eye of the beholder.
Taking a closer look, one will notice that they are made of tiny glass beads strung on fine wire and joined together to form bizarre figures.
The drawings reveal single-celled creatures and seaweeds drifting and gracefully gliding through an imaginary space, their airy presence thus communing with the glass objects.
